The finest example of nature's delicacy Danyang Cheondongdonggul Cave

(Local Monument/National Geopark)

천동동굴

Danyang Cheondongdonggul Cave, a relatively short 470-meter-long limestone cave, was created in bedrock 450 million years ago and is designated as a local monument.

Stalactites and stalagmites are produced very slowly due to the small amount of underground water that creates the limestone caves. As a result, you can easily observe small stalactites and stalagmites. As a result, it isn't as grandiose as the Gosudonggul Cave, but it's still very sophisticated and delicate.

The 3-meter-long stalagmite "Arctic Icicle" is a spectacular sight, and the stalagmites and stone statues, such as the "Great General" that has been silently guarding the cave for countless years, are reminiscent of a huge nirvana. There are three ponds with clear groundwater, in which you can see 'grape-shaped spheroids', which look like grape clusters naturally formed in the water, and rocks called 'flower trays', which are a rare secondary product of calcite in the water that spreads and grows due to the phenomenon of water flowing from the side.
