A 1,700-meter-long natural cave where you can feel the mystery of ancient times in a short time That is Danyang Gosu Cave
Deep underground in Danyang, which consists mostly of limestone geology, there are dozens of unknown limestone caves untouched by humans. In particular, Gosu Cave, designated as Natural Monument No. 256, is a natural cave with a length of 1,700 meters and is considered one of the most beautiful caves in the East.
Looking into the deep interior of the cave with its mouth open in a circle, the unusual shapes of stalactites and stalagmites formed by the contact of rain water and air that gently seep in from the mountains catch the eye.
The world inside the cave is creating a mysterious world with a statue of Mary that leaves a calm wave in the heart, an eagle rock with strong wings, a dodam sambong rock that looks like an actual dodam sambong, a stalactite that only grows 0.1 mm a year and will meet hundreds of thousands of years later, a love rock filled with the unfortunate love of Seoksun, and the wonderful Cheondang Seong Wall, which seems to have moved the world of the sky.
