Rising up past Bobaljae Gyemyeongsan Mountain

계명산

Below the northern valley, about 1.5 kilometers from Gubongpalmun's 4th peak, the headquarters of the Cheontae Order, Guinsa Temple is located, and Gyemyeongsan Mountain (865m), which rises again after briefly sinking at Bobaljae, is its peak. It is also known as Gyeomamsan Mountain after the art name of Yoo Woon-ryong, the older brother of Seoae Yoo Seong-ryong, as his tomb is here.

The mountain streams that spread out from Gyemyeongsan like the wings of a fan are almost in the same direction as the ridges that make up the Gubongpalmun. The name Gyemyeongsan is related to the hills surrounding Guinsa Temple, a terrain that is said to resemble a golden chicken cradling an egg.
Bobaljae attracts many tourists during the fall foliage season, drawing traffic to the area due to its beautiful scenery.
