Harmonizing with the clear and deep valley water Sangseonam Rock

(Eight Scenic Views of Danyang/Woraksan National Park/National Geopark)

Danyang Sangseonam Rock, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, is called "Sangseonam", the top rock because it is located at the top of Seonamgyegok Valley. The rocks, small and large, are clustered together, reminiscent of our ancestors who were pure and caring. The water in the valley is crystal clear, but it is so deep and blue that you can't tell its depth, so you can't enter the valley for safety.

Danyang Sangseonam Rock is located at the entrance of *Doraksan Mountain's hiking trail, which is somewhat tricky to climb. There is a large parking lot and a park right next to it, operated by the Korea National Park Service, so you can enjoy the soothing sounds of the water and the clean sunshine.
* Woraksan National Park, 965.3 meters, Named by Song Si-yeol, meaning 'the path to enlightenment must have its way and must be followed by joy.'

Danyang Sangseonam Rock is located in the middle of the 'Seonamgol Ecological Sightseeing Trail*', the first section of the Danyang Neurimbo Yooram Trail along the Seonamgyegok Valley, but you can also visit the three spots of the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, from Sangseonam Rock, Jungseonam Rock, and to Haseonam Rock, and walk on the neatly maintained deck path with a sense of refreshment.
* 'Seonamgol Ecological Sightseeing Trail' is a 13-kilometer trekking course that runs from Danseong Life Sports Park to Beolcheon Intersection. It is about 6.5 kilometers from Sangseonam Rock to Haseonam Rock.

There are numerous rental cottages and B&Bs in the Seonamgyegok Valley, with the 'Soseonam Auto-camping Site' and 'Soseonam Recreational Forest' operated by the Danyang Tourism Corporation, the 'Haseonam Caravan Camping Site' of the Korea National Park Service, the 'Soseonam Nature Amusement Park' operated by the Daejam-ri Village Senior Citizens' Association, and the Danyang Youth Training Center, which are constantly visited by individual and group tourists.
