Suyanggae Prehistory Museum, the Discovery of Prehistoric Life

사인암

In 1980, during a ground investigation of the Chungju Dam submerged area in Aegok-ri, Jeokseong-myeon, Danyang, the remains of settlements from the Middle Paleolithic, Late Paleolithic, and Proto-Three Kingdoms periods were excavated.
The Suyanggae Prehistory Museum is the place where various types of artifacts such as choppers, hunting stones, tanged points, microblade cores, scrapers, and end-scrapers found at this time are collected in one place.
The atmosphere is distinctive from the entrance of the museum, as it is a place where only artifacts that were the cornerstone and foundation of today's technological culture are gathered. Starting with the statue of a mammoth that looks like it will roar and run across the vast fields at any moment, the museum is transformed into a primitive world.
